Court marriage document: In court marriages, the marriage officer supervises the ceremony. Wedding traditions are not followed in the same way as in a traditional ceremony. Court marriages are unions between two eligible people witnessed by three witnesses. To solemnize the marriage, no customary celebration is required. Marriages performed before marriage officers and witnesses are valid. According to the Special Marriage Act, 1954, court marriages must meet certain requirements.
